download hiccup
download hiccup
I started to download, then restarted the download. I have this new, permanent addition on my desktop called OOo_2.4.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US that will not retire to the recycle bin. Could anyone shed some light? I'm anal about excess icons. Thanks much.

Try rebooting, then delete the icon.

That's the first thing I tried. When I attempt to delete it, or even move it into another folder, I get the error message "Cannot delete ... It is being used by another person or program. Close any ... and try again. There are no corresponding applications or processes running in Task Manager.

NB: are you sure the download has finished? Perhaps it's locked because there is still something to download. Do you use a download manager (which can easily resume downloads)?
