Hi, I'm using OpenOffice 2.4.0, and I'd like to know (paranoid that I am) as to where does OOo apps like Writer and Calc create its temporary files.
I have all my documents inside an encrypted TrueCrypt container. When I was using MS Word earlier, I could see the temporary files created in the same folder as the main document, so it was reassuring. Because you see, since the main document itself is in an encrypted container, so are the temp files, therefore confidentiality of data is maintained. (I must admit that pagefiles are disabled in my Windows PC)
Ever since I switched to OOo, I'm afraid I can't see any temporary files, so its getting me worried about confidentiality and security concerns. Does OOo create temp files at all, or everything is done in RAM? If temp files are created, where are they located - in the same folder as the main document, or in Windows Temp directory, or eslewhere in Windows? Can a user change its location?
Please help with an answer.
Where does OOo put its temporary files?

You can configure that setting in Tools>Options>OOo>Paths.
