Calc Sorting does not sort the formatting

I have a problem sorting rows with formatting.

To reproduce:
1) Open a new calc sheet.
2) Enter cells with data in any order.
3) Mark one of the cells with Bold font. (or date formatting)
4) Sort the data.

Result
The data get sorted but the formatting is not.

Is this a bug?
Is there a setting I am missing ?

Additional,
This happens from the tool bar.
It sometimes works from the menu.

There is a setting Data > Sort... > Options > Include formats, but your problem is mostly caused by the default toolbar buttons. They cause other problems too and are best removed by customising the toolbar. Then stick to using the menu. Or do I as I do and add a toolbar button that brings up the menu version of Sort.
