[Solved] Stuck Extension

Post by avienneau »

Hello,

I am attempting to manually update an extension by removing the old version and installing the new. When I attempt to remove the old extension I get the following error message:

(com.sun.star.lang.DisposedException){{{Message="Package instance has already been disposed!",Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @c842c90}}}

When I acknowledge the message and return to the Extension manager window, the extension is no longer listed. If I attempt to install the new extension I get a message claiming that there is a newer version already installed (the one that I just removed) and I press OK to install it anyway. I then get the following message:

(com.sun.star.lang.DisposedException){{{Message="Package instance has already been disposed!",Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @6fffb58}}}

Again there is no extension listed in the Extension Manager window.

If I close the window and re-open it, the old extension is once again listed in the My Extensions section.

Seems like I'm in a loop. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tony

Rude method: rename your OOo user profile (C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2), OOo will create another one and after the new profile has been created at next OOo launch, copy the folders exceot the uno-packages one from the old profile to the new one.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
