Opening files on Windows share from Linux workstation

Post by Agreken »

I am using a W2k3 server to store user personal files. I created the shares and auto mount them from the linux workstation for each user profile.

The problem I have is the user can navigate files in the folder on the linux workstation, but double-clicking the file opens OO thinks for a couple seconds the closes. If I copy the file to the linux workstation and open it, it works fine. What did I miss?

What is your full mount command or fstab entry? Which Linux distribution? Which version of OpenOffice.org? Which edition of OpenOffice.org?
