Cannot print after upgrade

I upgraded from OpenOffice 2.0 to 2.2, but after the upgrade I get a "pstopdffilter" terminated unexpectedly on signal 4 error when I try to print to an HP 1600 printer. I'm running OSX 10.4.11 on a G5 IMac. I've been messing with this for days and can't seem to figure it out. Help?

Try upgrading again to 2.3.1 ? I assume that printing from everything else (other apps) works OK ? Have you upgraded your system recently with any security fixes ?

I download all security updates regularly. Does OpenOffice 2.3.1 work with OSX 10.4.11? I thought it might be only for OSX 10.5. I have 2 printers (an HP and an Epson), neither work with the spreadsheet part of OpenOffice 2.2, but I found out that I can print from the "Word" part of OpenOffice 2.2, now I'm really confused. Works with the document part but not with the spreadsheet part of OpenOffice?

When you say it doesn't work from the spreadsheet, what exactly do you mean ? It doesn't print at all, only bits get printed, or there is some kind of overlay problem of data or cells being shifted ?

It would be better if you gave us a more detailed description of exactly what you are doing.

PS : and yest 2.3.1 works with Tiger, its what I have on mine

Neither printer I have prints anything after submitting a print job. I get the error message as stated in my original email in the printer status window, and the printer switches itself to offline. I have had no problems with printing from other applications. I'll try upgrading to 2.3.1, hopefully that will fix things.
