Dear comunity, why not develop a lite version of it?
With only Writer, Calc and eventually Impress (or only a presentation viewer) and with all localizations and dictionaries in extra packages (one per language)?
I'd like to know somethings more about all files that composed OpenOffice, can someone help me? Are there lists that explain the function of each file?
Thanks!
OpenOffice Lite
Re: OpenOffice Lite
As far as I understand, you can not tear apart this thing without destoying it.
Try these:

I have heard though that they are working on making the whole thing more modular, a process that will take a long time. I've no idea, though, whether that means that we're going to be able to download whatever parts of OOo we want seperately.Villeroy wrote:As far as I understand, you can not tear apart this thing without destoying it.

Re: OpenOffice Lite
"More modular" could be understood as "everything depends even more on shared pieces of code".
