[Solved] Hangs during opening document with large table

I have created several documents; every document contains big table (table places 15-20 pages, A3 format, landscape). They are saved normally, but Writer hangs during opening of some from them. (The Total Commander extension OOoViewer opens them without problems). OOo 2.3.1, WinXP. What is wrong?

P.S. These documents are opening normally on Celeron 433 MHz 256 RAM, but don't opening on Core2Duo E6*** 2 GB RAM.
P.P.S. On same machine (Core2Duo) on Ubuntu 7.10 I have same problem. Is this OOo bug?

Well, we just went through a thread where we "torture tested" OOo with a table that was >800 pages long, so it's probably not the size of the table.

In that thread, some people had success with the large document,and others consistently had crashes, so the conclusion is not crystal clear.

Can you try opening the document where OOo has a clean settings folder? Either make a new login (OOo will create a fresh settings folder for a new user), or rename your settings folder, try the document, and then remove the new settings folder and restore the old settings.

Also, if you can post the document somewhere so other people can try it, we can at least see if it crashes for other people. You can attach it here (up to 128k) or use a file sharing site like mediafire.com.

Thank you! I have renamed the user profile folder, one has created again, and now Writer can open all files. Under Windows, but not under Linux. I made same procedure in Ubuntu 7.10 on same computer, but Writer can't open these files.
The attachment contains one from files that Writer can't open. For privacy reasons, I've replaced text for all cells to '12345'. When Writer tries to open this file, CPU load is about 50% (I think that means that 1 processor of 2 is loaded by 100%).
Writer on different machines can or can't open this document.
