multiple alignments

Post by orwell »

How do I do multiple alignments in a single document? I've tried paragraph marks, line break, non breaking space, just enter and a right click format alignment, yet none of these work. Is it possible in writer?

If I knew what you were talking about I might be able to help.

Let's guess: you want to centre some text but right justify a date.
1. Use centre and right aligned tab stops.
2. Use a table without borders.

I would have guessed that orwell needs different paragraph styles so that some indent, some perhaps are for block quotes, etc. But the question is too vague. Maybe the goal is to have different columns left, center, and right aligned.

orwell, could you please describe exactly what you're trying to accomplish? Also please have a look at the Survival Guide to help with your next new post. (See the link in my signature below.)

And, welcome to the forum! :D
