Having a Menu Sizing Problem with Windows XP

Post by J Stewart »

I recently changed the theme on my computer and upon doing so I've run into the problem with OpenOffice which makes the menu buttons extremely large and cumbersome. Here is a picture of the problem:

The only program which has this trouble has been OpenOffice. Is there a sizing issue created with the theme change that just happens to affect OpenOffice and can be remedied through some sort of option through either OpenOffice itself or through my Appearance properties?

Thank for anyone whom can help.

I suggest that you look at the menu Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Accessibility and uncheck the three boxes under "Options for high contrast appearance". You can also "play" with the options in Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > View.

Unfortunately none of those options have worked in this case. I lieu of this and toying around with the advance Appearance options I've decided to retheme XP for the time being which doesn't cause this problem with OO.

Thank you for your help, Squenson, and if anyone else would like to suggest a solution I will be willing to retry any suggestion to make this problem go away for anyone else who may experience the same thing.
