Is Open Office compatible with Flash Paper?

Post by alan1 »

I have developed a product in flex and it uses adobe flashpaper. I need a word processor so that people can upload products. When the product was developed older version of MS word would work with it. I now need to install everything onto a server. Will Open Office support Flash Paper is my question?

Any help appreaciated.

Shouldn't the question be, will Flash Paper support OpenOffice formats? Flash Paper is for creating flash files from documents, right? Perhaps I don't understand exactly how you intend to use the two together.
Cheers!

Hi, Fox. Thanks for the reply I really appreciate it. You are absolutely right, unfortunately I am not a technical person nor am I the developer. But as I understand it we have a product developed in flex we want to upload word documents into..or rather have them rendered to flash paper. Still I think what we are ow going to do is install a free MS word viewer on the server and that may work for us.

Sorry I am such a dolt.. But when I posted the message I didn't have any tech resource available.

All the best. Good forum. :D

No problem! 8-)

You might want to try asking in the Adobe user forum: FlashPaper
