My OS is Xp. I'm creating a document that contains many graphs created in R. When I opened my document today, the graphs were gone and instead there were blank boxes containing the paths and names of the graphs.
How do I get my graphs back and how do I prevent this in the future?
Thanks.Solved

Re: OpenOffice figures disappear
It seems the graphs were inserted as links. To prevent them disappearing, I believe you can use the menu Edit >Links to break the links after inserting the graphs.

Check that in Tools>Options>OOo Writer>View, Display section, the Graphics and objects entry is checked.
Do you save in the native .odt format or still .doc? Using a closed format as .doc is very dangerous because once it's corrupted, few changes to recover anything at all.
BTW, please read the Survival Guide for the forum. NO multiposting please. I move this thread in the Writer forum and delete the other one.
