[Solved] Headings not showing in Navigator

Post by aethralis »

Edit: Discussion started from [Tutorial] Numbering chapters on Writer
Hmm.. I discovered this thread when I was looking for "navigator does not show headings" and this explains it. Indeed I have made the headings use custom numbering style, and the headings do not show up on navigator any more. Is there a way back? As when I mark the heading numbering style <none> the result is the same (ie no headings in navigator). Any ideas?

Please do not post questions in tutorials but start a thread and provide a link to the tutorial (so no one else suggests reading the tutorial ;) ). Please click the "X" tool in your post to delete it, and I'll delete this one after that's done.
Cheers!

You can't do that if there has been a reply. So I've split the thread and moved it in the Writer forum.

aethralis, you need to set the heading styles in the Tools>Outline Numbering dialog.

Please read the Survival Guide for the forum.

Quite no relation at all.

Are the heading styles used set in the Tools>Outline Numbering dialog?
If so, please give us as much detail as possible.

How did you create your "headings"? Did you use paragraph styles? Did you use direct formatting? Are the "headings" imported from non-native file formats? What OS? What version of OOo? Did you use Outline Numbering? Can you upload a sample file?
