[Issue] OpenOffice with proxy.pac

Post by jaffar »

Hi all

On my computer, I use an automatic proxy configuration script loaded from my local network (as i need to use various proxies for each vpn connection).
In OpenOffice Tools -> Options -> Internet, i have selected "System".

However, i cannot link any external data, the proxy.pac is ignored and so the sites are inaccessible.

I hate to install microsoft office just for this (yes, that one works with proxy.pac).

Is there a way to make it work with OOO ?

Thanks

I've had the same issue at work once and you need to open the .pac file and try which address works. No other possibility AFAIK.
It may be related to that bug : Issue 59287 - StarOffice fails to resolve proxy names.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE Faye) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.

so OOO does not support automatic proxy configuration :(
setting it manually is out of the qeustion, since i need to collect data from many servers automatically.

is there a feature request where i can post it ?

thanks

That's exactly the problem described by the reporter of the bug, so you should vote for it and add a comment if you want (up to 2 votes per issue).
