Development builds - difference between OOH and SRC?

I love trying out the Dev builds, but now I'm confused. There appear to be TWO development streams available - one with filenames like tis "OOo-Dev_SRC680_m242", which I'm used to, and the other "OOo-Dev_OOH680_m2". Does anybody the difference between these? I've searched openoffice.org, but have come up empty.

I am confused as well, and mean to track this down, but I believe the deal is this:
OOo development is not linear, as implied by the release version numbers, but instead is a tree: different release versions may be at the end of different branches of the tree.
As of yesterday, there is an active development branch which is on the way to OOo 3.0: this is the OOH SRC680 branch.
There is also an active branch that will lead to OOo 2.4: this is the SRC680 OOH branch.

The reason for this is that there are features planned for OOo 3.0 that would not be appropriate for 2.4 (e.g. for compatibility reasons), yet are ready to be integrated and tested, so there needs to be a separate branch for those changes.

These pages may be helpful: OpenOffice.org codelines, especially the "roadmap" links there.
Edit: Fixed. I had the labels backwards.

Excellent, that makes sense. Thanks! I downloaded both, but for now I'll stick with the 2.4 branch, unless it's possible to have them both installed together.

Here are some recent links:

Codelines: OpenOffice.org 2.4 and beyond (20 Dec 2007)
New: OpenOffice.org 2.4 Developer snapshot (build OOH680_m241) available (15 Jan 2008--I think that should be "OOH680_m2")

Actually, from the above articles, it seems that, right now, both the OOH and the SRC snapshots are leading to 2.4, but the SRC680 line is the one that will be renamed as "DEV300" in the near future, and will then go on to be OOo 3.0.

I guess the bottom line is that I don't have a clue what all this means.

I would never have thought that anyone could succeed so thoroughly in turning release labeling into a black art, yet here it is.

If you don't mind a little geek speak: Run OOo versions parallel

You're an evil man, Drew. That page was far too easy to understand. Do you hang around outside AA meetings offering free beer as well? :D
