Is there a way in Writer/viewer to view .mdi files?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I'm afraid not, that's a locked proprieatry format, and I'm not sure it is even supported by Microsoft these days.

Well thank you, I was hoping Google's Picasa would work, but it does not look like it does.

No, I spent a lot of time Googling this for another thread that came up with the same question, and found nothing. If someone came out with a graphics viewer that could open these files, it would be SO popular!

I hope this can help.

I have Office 2003 Professional on XP, and here's the full path to the MIcrosoft Document imaging component:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MODI\11.0\MSPVIEW.EXE"

Open your file and save it as Tiff format, or print it as PDF if you have some pdf utility to do so.

Yes, but it doesn't help those without MS Office!
