[Solved] Replace MS Publisher?

I've been using and love the OpenOffice suite. My question:

I'm creating a brochure that incorporates many graphic elements and columns of text. I need to incorporate graphic images in the columns of text and have the text float around the images. I have created the document with the Drawing program but I can't seem to find a way to incorporate images in a text box. Is there a way or should I be using Writer?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Writer + Draw will not equal a DTP package. If you need DTP I'd suggest you lopok at the free, open source Scribus.

Right. If you need text wrapped around the images, you'll have to do it in Writer, or shape the text manually in Draw.

You can do simple DTP projects in OOo, but it's going to be less convenient for some types of layout.

Scribus.net was a more than adequate answer!
