When shutting down on vista I get this error. Did a google search and it seems to be linked to installing open office. Curious if anyone else has seen this and what might fix the error.

What version of OOo?

I've noticed in running 2.3.1 on the local install on a WinXP Pro machine and later, 2.3.1 portably, the process soffice.bin occasionally doesn't close. This seems to be a regression that was fixed in 2.0.4 (I think) but I have yet to determine under what circumstances it occurs. But it is a pain, because my documents are in an encrypted volume on my USB key, and I can't shut down and exit that volume until I kill the soffice.bin process.

Does Vista still have the Task Manager?

I had the same problem on my new HP pc. Who makes it?
I search several days. It’s not the Open Office software

What did I for losing my irritations:

1. Re-new (reinstall) all the software (in factory HP delivery).
2. De-install Norton
3. Install Trend Micro Internet Security Pro on
http://www.go-red.nl/, a Dutch seller.
4. Saw after starting the download a message, a Hotfix from Microsoft
is necessary for good running your computer!
5. Download that Hotfix !
