i run open office on a macbook pro and osX. it ran fine, but since a couple weeks or even month it won't start up propperly, it just opens a droplet(? i'm not sure wether this is the right term). u can see openoffice in the menu bar and x11 is running, too, but there are no possibilities to open files and if started by clicking on a oo file that wont open either... the menu bar just lists "File" and "Edit".

what can i do?

What happens if you just doubele click on an OpenOffice.org document? Opens the document correctly?
Perhaps it's a good idea delete an re-install OpneOffice.or. Mosly that helps.

Which version of Mac OSX are you using ?

You need to switch to the X11 app in the dock, which will activate the OpenOffice.org windows. Then use the menus inside the OpenOffice.org menu, not the main mac menu bar.
