I need to print some business cards, so got some card from avery and went to open office file -> new -> business cards.
From the options that appeared my card did not show up (Avery C32015) so I went to the Avery site and downloaded their template of the page which downloads as a .doc file.
I tried to save this file as a business card template, but that means it still sees it as only a normal writer document and not a label/business card so there is no synchronization option.
I did try to modify one of the existing business card designs, but the layout of the page is quite complex and so when printed it does not line up properly.
Surely it should be fairly simple to save a template from the Avery site as a proper business card layout?

Re: Adding a new business Card template
Using the .doc template is probably going to create more problems than it solves. The best approach is really to make a new layout format and save the document it creates as your template.
Can you provide a link to the product page for this card sheet?

Re: Adding a new business Card template
Yeah I did think of that, but making a new template will just take ages, it would be quicker to just copy and paste the card background and then contents 10 times
I didnt think it was possible, I just wanted to check
Maybe something for the devs to consider for the future, or for an addon for templates!
I spent most of the night working on it and got it so it looks to the naked eye like all cards are the same, which is good enough.
The card is an Avery C23015 Business Card, even downloading the blank template is a job on their site
