I tried to install over 2.2 (which wasn't working on this Vi$ta box, but there was a HD crash in there somewhere. Now I get a 1714 error saying the older version of OO 2.3 cannot be removed. I have cleared the registry of OO references.
Next?

Error 1714 is often related to a problem with the MS installer. You should try the cleaner utility : Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
