[Solved] Conversion from Writer to Microsoft Word

Post by pquestion »

I suspect I am not the first person to ask this. I prepared and edited several documents, complete with the track-changes feature, for someone who now tells me he want the documents as Word files. How can I convert them while preserving my editing changes so the person can track them?

Thanks,

pq

First tell OOo to mark your changes, I'm not sure if it will do that now. When you're done, select Save as..., then select as Word 2000 etc for best results. Don't forget to check the default extension checkbox.

I'd marked all the changes, and they still seemed to be marked in the version I saved as a Word document. Now I'll send it and hope for the best.

Thanks for your help, and Happy New Year!

Same to you. :) And please edit the first post in this thread and add [Solved] to the subject line. That will help other people finding solutions for their problems. It will help even more if you make the description more accurate. 8-)
