Problem in opening very big HTML file in OpenOffice Writer 3

HI,

I use Writer as a converter from HTML to PDF via C# and it works fine (with OpenOffice 3.0 & VISTA). But when I try to open a very big html file of 11 Mbyte in Writer, after a lot of time, Writer hangs up and I have to kill it, or it kill itself!

it seems a problem of OpenOffice 3.0 because on OpenOffice 2.4.1 (on Linux) it perfectly works. Could it be a problem of OpenOffice 3.0 on VISTA?

Is this a possible regression of the version 3.0 of Writer?

I can confirm you that the problem is the version 3 of OpenOffice and not the OS. With 2.4.1 on Ubuntu and VISTA the conversion is fine and I don't have any problem. Wow this is a terrible regression. I hope this post will be read from the developer team of OpenOffice.

I think that some huge load test should be programmed to avoid this kind of problem because many people use OpenOffice as a conversion tool.
