I've been using Access to maintain several different databases (based on different projects) of books and journal articles, and I'm trying to migrate over to OpenOffice. I managed to get one done, but I really don't want to have to create a new form for every database, when each form is the same. Is there a way to import a form from one Base database into another?
I should say that while I've used Access and Base, I don't know that much about either one. If the answer to my question is complicated, please provide plenty of details!
Thanks in advance!
Import a form?
Re: Import a form?
Yes, you can copy existing forms from one odb file to other, easiest way drag and drop from on file Form area to other file Form area, bot files need to open. Copied form needs to attach to new file table, opening in edit mode, go to the Form navigator on form design toolbar, right click on main form, select properties, data tab, set content to your new file table, and do same for subforms, if any.
