Solved, answered resp.

I like to use the dark mode, and it is recommended by doctors and opticians too. Unfortunately I did not find it even in the newest OO 4.1.16 I installed. To change the background color is not the solution for it is only for the document edited and also the whole OO background is white.
My humble question is if and when will OO introduce the real dark mode as most of modern programs and applications offer?

By the way:
At the bottom of my subject note appears wrong OO- and Win11-Versions and I could not find the place to correct in, even not in my profile. Where to change?

To update your forum signature do the following:

Frankly said I thought of it but was quite comfortable to do it and hoped the OO will be developed further.
Could you explain shortly the main difference between OO and LO and the people behind them?

Most of the infos I asked for are in the link you mentioned before. Does LO accept also the odt-format too I hope?

Absolutely, yes, ODF is the default and most advised format to use in LibreOffice. Into the bargain LibreOffice is up to date with the latest ODF implementation (OpenOffice is not, but your 'old' OpenOffice documents will still load just fine in LibreOffice). This is not an answer to the request for "Dark Mode" in coming versions of OpenOffice, but a suggestion that may for some obviate the need for such a mode.

It is often the case that modern monitors are used with "out of the box" settings. which, with light (i.e, paper white) backgrounds, cause too much glare for eye-comfort of the user. The solution is simple: turn down the brightness of the monitor and set this to be the default setting. How to do this requires reading the monitor's instructions!

As a former printer/designer it is usual for me to use a paper-white background - I do not like "dark mode" displays, but that is my personal choice.
