Bazzite Linux Install

Hello,

I'm attempting to install OpenOffice4.1.16 on a fresh install of Bazzite Linux (a Fedora base). Bazzite requires that I use the .rpm installation method but I keep coming up with:

error: can't create transaction lock on /usr/share/rpm/.rpm.lock (Success)

I've shut down every program and no joy. I even checked the log to see if there was another program blocking me, but no joy. Is there an ostree command I should be inputting because it is Bazzite Linux and not a straight Fedora distro?

I've managed to get most of it installed, but I still get a message:

Missing vcl resource. This indicate that files vital to localization are missing. You might have a corrupt installation.

Does this mean I need to completely clear OpenOffice and start again? If so, how do I perform that function..?

Yet another Linux distribution.
Why not use OpenOffice on Debian, which is designed for office productivity?

Have you followed this tutorial? [Tutorial] Installing Apache OpenOffice on GNU/Linux.

Plenty use a rpm-based distro, there is no need to switch to a debian one.

Very few threads with the missing vcl resource according to this query: search.php?keywords=%22Missing+vcl+reso ... mit=Search
