I use Apache Open Office 4.1.16 and my documents are saved as .doc.
I keep a journal and, at the end of every year, I copy and past that year's journal into another document that contains ALL my Journals. I'll call it "Journal all years" for clarity. And then, using the "save as HTML" option in Open Office, I save the "Journal all years" to HTML at the end of each year so I can view all the years as a webpage. I've done this ever since I began Journaling in 2001 adding each year and then saving the entire file to HTML with no problem.
But, this year when I copied and pasted my 2025 Journal into the "Journal all years", everything looked fine in the document. But, when I used the "save as HTML" THIS time, most of December's entries were NOT word wrapped on the webpage Open Office created??? Everything else from the 2025 Journal was word wrapped on the webpage but, for some reason, word wrap was lost for most of the December entries??? How do I correct this? BTW, I don't know HTML or CSS.
Thanks for your help.

Formatting is often lost because you paste text into a paragraph that already has a style applied to it.
The easiest way is to paste as plain text and then apply the alignment.
PS: the best way to save your files is to use the ODT format rather than Microsoft's format.

Word wrap problems sometimes occur because users use non-breaking spaces in place of normal spaces. Such non breaking spaces come about by using Ctrl Shift Spacebar rather that just Spacebar. In an .odt file in OpenOffice they can be revealed by /View /Field shadings; I think the activation menu item may have been moved in LibreOffice, but do not know for certain.

Re: Word wrap problems when saving .doc to .html in Open Office
That may very well be it Bidouille. I just copied the UN word wrapped text from the web page that had previously been saved from an AOO document and I pasted that text into a test document by using: "Edit/Paste Special/Unformatted" and then, I saved that .doc as .html and the web page is now word wrapped. I spent MANY hours on this one before your suggestion. THANK YOU!
