[Solved] Thicker lines in chart legend
How can I make thicker colored lines (LEGENDKEY) in the column section (LEGEND) on the right side of a graph?

Can you upload a sample file?

Re: Thicker lines in Column section of graph
When you have selected the legend (as in your example), you then can select the border tab to add a border. That is not what I want to add. I want to make the colored lines within the area thicker. If you have for example a lot of curves in one graph, then the colored lines in the legend box are rather thin and then it is difficult to determine which curve corresponds to which item in the legend box.
Meanwhile I have found out that when you manipulate with the linewidth of a curve in the graph then the line width in the legend also is changing a bit. And I conclude there is no possibility to change the width of the colored lines in the legend box.

Re: Thicker lines in Column section of graph
For me (LibO 25.8.4.2) formatting the line of the series in the chart to a greater width is also applied to the example line in the legend. There is no way to format these lines differently. In AOO 4.16 I couldn't find a way to format the legend line at all.
A line (X-Y) chart formatted with thicker line in the legend can be loaded with AOO 4.16, but the mentioned formatting is ignored then for the legend then.
On Windows 10: LibreOffice 25.8.4 and older versions, PortableOpenOffice 4.1.7 and older, StarOffice 5.2

Re: Thicker lines in Column section of graph
Thanks to fixed Bug 31551 ("Lines in legend not shown with current width").
In the commit (titled "Show actual line width in the legend"), one reads: limit the line width from above by legend entry height (which +- matches the font height).
⠀
Comment No. 1 to Issue 117874 ("calc 3.3 diagram: changing line size has no effect on legend line size") :
The spec (see URL) has no specification for the line height of the legend key of a line.
In OOo3.4 the height follows the line height up to 0.05cm, which is the upper limit. In
OOo2.4.3 the legend key line has the same height as the graph line, even when it was
larger than the font height, so that the keys could overlap.

Excuse me Lub that I respond so late. Many thanks for helping me figure it out.For me (LibO 25.8.4.2) formatting the line of the series in the chart to a greater width is also applied to the example line in the legend. There is no way to format these lines differently.
