Hi - I am using a spreadsheet for my client database. Some of the cells are quite large, such as the ones with client notes. I have them set up to auto wrap and that is working fine.
Two problems - both related to keeping data in view.
When there are several lines of data in a row, the row does not automatically expand. I can expand it by using "optimal height" but it reverts so I have to do it for every row every time I open the spread sheet. Is there a way to keep the cell / row contents all visible?
Another problem is with a tall row, such as when one cell contains a lot of client notes. When I try to scroll down so I can see the bottom half of the row, the row disappears and the next row is in view at the top of the page. If I use zoom, and reduce to 50%, I can see the entire row but it is too small to read.
Thanks in advance for thoughts and suggestions.

Re: Scrolling issue in Calc
In the panel where you have set Wrap text automatically, try using Shrink to fit cell size.
Or, for rows with enormous client notes, use a hyperlink in the cell which opens a Writer document that holds the notes.
Read about hyperlinks in Help → Index or in User Guides (PDF) or searching for topics about hyperlinks in the Calc Forum.
Just use Writer for the entire project instead of Calc. Writer supports smooth scrolling in tables.
[Issue] Can I scroll smoothly if rows are very tall?
