[Solved] AutoFilter extends Data Range

Having previously had problems with Data Ranges and Autofilter I thought I had it cracked it however:
In the attached spreadsheet I created a Data Range "AcS" cells d4:d9
I then selected this Range (Data>Select Range> Acs)
Then I added an Autofilter (Data> AutoFilter)
When I checked by Select Range the cells highlighted were still d4:d9

However when first used the Autofilter it displayed the values held in cells d4:d17
Worse when I checked the "AcS" range again - Data > Select Range - it how highlights cells d4:d17
In addition Data > Define now shows the "AcS" range has been changed to cells d4:d17

Any idea how to stop this annoying behaviour?

Thinking that it might be due to data being below the range, I tested using Range "CatsU" - cells e4:d9 when there was no data in column e below e9.
All was ok until - I entered a value in e13.
The first use of the Autofilter in e4 extended the CatsU range to also include cells e10:e13!

This would appear to be a new bug as in existing spreadsheets the Auto Filter range does not get extended - Thankfully.

I noticed a similar effect when using data validation when data columns were adjacent. I solved this by inserting empty and then hidden columns between them. I did this in your workbook.
