[Solved] Copy values into a text template

Post by awascholl »

I'm using an accounting software that allows you to take vendors and tell it how to categorize them. This spreadsheet is an export of the existing rules, and it allows me to edit the file and import new ones to save time.

The one thing that doesn't save time is that I need to manually type both the rule name and category (Columns A and B), into Columns C and D, respectively.

My goal is to be able to type in new rules into Columns A and B, and then C and D would update.

Is this possible?

Edit: Changed subject, was Make variables from one column post into another

Thank you for your attachment. In mine, fill columns C and D down as needed to match A and B.
