[Dropped] Can't add icons to toolbar

I'm using Windows 11 & been using open office for years. Within the past 2 weeks, at some time the color fill, highlighting, currency, and a few other icons have disappeared. I've tried to add them back to the toolbar, they show up on the list, but nothing shows up on the toolbar itself. I've checked the side toolbar (which I've never used until a few minutes ago) and at least found the color fill for columns but haven't been able to find any other icon. Obviously, I'm missing something. Suggetions (with keeping directions on the simple side, please!) to what to do next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 Edit: Changed subject, was Icons have disapprear and can't add back to toolbar

Have a look at the settings under View -> Toolbars. Some of the items you mention are on the Formatting toolbar.

You could try resetting the toolbar settings to the default. Sometimes a simple reset brings the missing icons back.
