[Solved] Field shows name, not value

Post by acerthorn »

When I go to insert > fields, it lets me select the page number, which is useful for headers and footers.

However, as of right now, it just says "page numbers" instead of the actual number: https://i.postimg.cc/NMjWm79w/A.png

Even when I go to insert > fields > other and select any type of page number from the options provided, it still does the same thing.

It was working fine a few moments ago. This problem just came out of nowhere. I have no idea what caused it.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled Open Office and the problem still persists.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Perhaps you inadvertently hit Ctrl+F9, the shortcut to show/hide field names.
