Hello,

I have downloaded version 4.1.14. When I try to use the mail merge feature I get a spinning wheel and have to force quit.
would anyone have a solution, I am running Mac sonoma 14.5

Experience here says that reinstalling seldom fixes anything. First steps would be:
• Reboot MacOS
• Reset your OpenOffice profile

If you need any additional assistance attach documents demonstrating the difficulty (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the document itself). I will not help further unless you attach. Explain what the mail merge data source is. Attach that, or enough of it for a test. It would be easiest if you can replicate the problem using the built-in HSQLDB data source (ODB file), otherwise it could be an external database issue. Explain, in detail, how you create the Writer template that will be used for the merge. Preferably attach that too. There are too many variables in the mail merge process to help without knowing your details.

Creating a new profile seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you!
