I needed a template for the Avery 5195 Return Address Label. I followed the steps to import the template.
How do I get that template to be an option in Writer when I select NEW > LABELS?
Also, does anyone know why that Label is not in open office by default?
Thanks

Re: Using a new template in the Label wizard
Hi,
if you don't find an adequate template on OpenOffice or LibreOffice itself - you can download one from Avery (needs your e-mail-address!) or from another free supplier. I downloaded from https://labelsmerge.com/labels/avery-5195-template-google-docs in docx format, converted to odt format and copied the table into a new generated label file (for use of synchronizing button). Altered page properties.
Then set in a new master section (upper left corner) and copied subsections into the other table cells.
Try out. A little bit of finetuning may be required. If needed (and you cannot do that yourself) ask in the forum for further help.

Re: Using a new template in the Label wizard
Measure the dimensions of your label sheet with a ruler. File → New → Labels → Format. Enter your measured dimensions in the dialog → Save → Brand → User → Type → Avery 5195. The File → New → Labels → Labels wizard will remember the Avery 5195 name and template that you saved.loneieagle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 6:26 am How do I get that template to be an option in Writer when I select NEW > LABELS?
You would have to ask the developers. This is a user-to-user forum. We're all users here, just like you.loneieagle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 6:26 am Also, does anyone know why that Label is not in open office by default?
This is not a customer service
Avery's Canadian website does not make the bothersome request for your email address.erbsenzahl wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 3:08 pm You can download one from Avery (needs your e-mail-address!) or from another free supplier.
