[Dropped] Spreadsheet won't allow data to be entered
My spreadsheet all of a sudden won't let me enter data. All it does is click when I try to enter something. I thought it might be a "read only" thing, but I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

Re: Spreadsheet won't allow data to be entered
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Where is stored the file? In your documents folder or do you open it from an application like your mail client?
In latter case, it should warn you that the file is read only. In such case, try to save in a folder where you have write access.
If no way, can you upload it here if there is no sensitive data and less than 128kBi (see: How to attach a document here)?

Re: Spreadsheet won't allow data to be entered
When weird things happen in Windows the first step is to shutdown your computer and restart it. This solves many problems.
If restarting the computer doesn't help then Reset your user profile. That has solved many strange OpenOffice problems.https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/haiku-error-messages/ wrote:Chaos reigns within

The advice above applies to MacOS and Linux too.
