[Dropped] No icon in Windows task bar

I recently downloaded a fresh copy of Openoffice Write. I believe the download was successful but I am not certain, as I cannot open the app. I used to have an OOW icon on the bar at the bottom of my screen; it is not there now. How can I place an icon on that bar that will allow me to open the app?I Do I have to reload the app, or is there an easier way? Thanks for your help. .... wdc
