I had an older version of open office that was very compatible with wordperfect - could read and write wpd files and they opened fine in wordperfect. Unfortunately that computer died. I don't remember which version of open office that was. Anyone know? and know where I can download it.
I have many old WP docs I sometimes need to open and modify.
thanks...

Re: WordPerfect
Appreciate reply.. but a conversion utility would be too clunky for me. I had a version of open office (unless I'm misremmebering) that both read and wrote my wp files. As I recall, it also had a WP emulation so that the hotkeys were same as WP.

Re: WordPerfect
LibreOffice seems to open them: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/wordperfe ... ffice/3951.
I remember some talks about the emulation of WP but not sure there has been any code published for that on the extension site. I made a quick search and found nothing on the AOO extension site.

Re: WordPerfect
Not at all. This question has been raised multiple times in the forum and even if there are workarounds to open such files, AOO/LO cannot save in that old format.
