[Solved] Cannot paste from AOO to Zoom chat

Hi,
I volunteer with an organisation where I act as meeting helper for zoom meetings. My job, when the facilitator mentions certain things, is for me to copy and past relevant links from my computer, into the chat section of the zoom meeting. The following document contains lots of references and links, all of which work perfectly, except for this one area on the document.
I can seemingly copy and paste, but when I try and paste them into the chat on zoom the page remains blank, and nothing appears. ( I have made notes in the text about which sections do and don't work.)
If it would help I can create a zoom meeting with the chatbox open, so you can test it for yourself. Regrettably as I don't have a paid account it will only stay open for 40 minutes.
Anyway, first of all I will upload the document in question.
Title Edited. A descriptive title for posts helps others who are searching for solutions and increases the chances of a reply (Hagar, Moderator).

Try to paste in a raw text application like Notepad and then copy and paste from that application.

@Hagar Delest. I'm not quite sure what you mean. I have never used Notepad, but I tracked it down and have copied and pasted the problem document into a Notepad document. Will now try and upload that.
BTW I tried uploading the problem document to gmail (sending myself the email), and it uploaded with no problems. I also ran a full scan with the antivirus programme bitdefender, and it said my computer was fine....

@Hagar Delest. Now I am going to try and upload an Open Office doc where I have copied and pasted the content from the notepad file above.
1) problem file
2) problem file copied and pasted into Notepad
3) Notepad file copied and pasted back into a new OpenOffice doc.
Shame..... Still having problems. It didn't work.

Test to see if I can upload another random OpenOffice document from my computer......
Interesting - that doesn't seem to be working either, and it was 14 KB. It appears that I can't upload any OpenOffice documents. I'm going to test again to see if I can upload a jpeg again.
Ah, I'm having no problem uploading jpegs. Just can't upload Open Office or Notepad files......

Testing to see if I can upload a jpeg (56.2 KB) from the same folder where I tried to upload the files above.....
Later - it seems I still have no problems uploading jpegs - just Open Office docs and Notepad files......

There is no need to attache any document here.
The point is that Zoom chat may prevent complex content to be pasted. Thus, a way to paste only the text is to paste your clipboard in Notepad and then copy the pasted content and paste it in Zoom since Notepad will strip the initial content from any HTML formatting for example.
Meaning that your link must be the url, not a text having the link as metadata.

@Hagar Delest Many thanks! I will try that.

have copied and pasted the problem document into a Notepad document.
So we know that a copy from OpenOffice puts the text text on the clipboard because you can the paste text from the clipboard to Notepad. But you can't paste that text from the clipboard to Zoom. Therefore this is not an OpenOffice problem but a Zoom problem. For unknown reasons, Zoom does not accept the content you're trying to paste. This is not an appropriate forum to diagnose the problem with Zoom. Check with a Zoom forum. If Zoom
does accept clipboard content from Notepad, then use that when facilitating, instead of Writer.
I don't find it unusual that an application doesn't accept content created by a
different application. In some situations it does, but not always. When pasting it's always
your responsibility to first put acceptable content on the clipboard. If you're pasting to Zoom, only
Zoom knows what content is allowed. Check with a Zoom forum if you want to investigate further.

Just can't upload Open Office … files......
I have no idea why you say you can't upload. I can see the OpenOffice attachment
Household Checklist.doc in your post at the bottom. Take a look below. I can download it and open it. You use your web browser to access the forum. Your web browser
cannot display a Writer document. You won't see the
content of the OpenOffice document in your forum post, just the
name. I do see your
Household Checklist.doc content
in Writer after I download and open it.

And I can see your Notepad attachment
Problem document.txt in your post at the bottom. I can download it, open it, and view the content. Perhaps it is a mistake for me to accept your claims about being unable to attach. I see it right there under ATTACHMENTS.

Reminder: When you have an OpenOffice problem, attach an OpenOffice
document, not a
picture of it, to your
initial post in the topic. Pictures are frequently worthless for diagnosing OpenOffice problems, just like a picture of your car is worthless for the mechanic who needs to fix it. Don't attach a picture unless we
specifically ask for it.

@MrProgrammer....
Thank you for your response.
Yesterday I copied and pasted all the 'good' text from the problem document, into a new document. I then typed in all the 'problem' text into the new document, rather than copying and pasting it into the document. All the text is now working perfectly in Zoom. So, thankfully that issue is solved.
I much appreciated your feedback about the two documents I tried to post in this thread. TBH, I still can't see them. When I click on the link for Household Checklist.doc above, this is what I see.....

Click on the Save Button (bottom right of the window you get) and it will download the file to your computer. I only see the Stork inline of your postings - your other up-loads are all links for downloading.

@Rory0F Ah, finally, finally, finally, I see what the problem is!! I didn't realise that the document was supposed to download onto my computer! I thought I would see it here on this website (as I did with the stork). Plus it was trying to download into the same folder I had uploaded it from, so when I clicked "save", all I got was a message saying something to the effect "You already have this file, do you want to replace it?"
I just went to the Household Checklist file and downloaded it onto my computer - this time into a different folder - and I got to see that I had uploaded the document successfully for this website.
Thank you so much to everyone here for all your help. You've been fantastically patient.
