Re: openoffice and other apps crashed
Hi and welcome to the forum!
I fear that AOO will have more and more difficulties due to lack of dev manpower who may not be able to catch up with the evolution of the operating systems.
Can you try with LibreOffice?
Note: you should update your forum signature.

Re: OpenOffice and other apps crashed (CentOS)
I often get a SIGSERV error from OpenOffice 4.1.15 on Xubuntu 22.04.5, but it _always_ occurs after a file has been Saved and closed. I have never had loss of data from that, even in long (8 hour) editing sessions in Writer and Impress.

Re: OpenOffice and other apps crashed (CentOS)
As I said, it doesn't cause me any problems; when I get an error notification, which might occur only after file/application closure, I just dismiss it and ignore. The little investigation I did suggested to me that it might be to do with one of the graphics/display libraries used in making OpenOffice, but I didn't investigate further -- I work on a three screen setup, which might break a "standard" library.

I understood that, Bidouille; I answered only so that the thread might be complete for all instances mentioned in it.
