[Solved] Startup screen text error

Post by White Phoenix »

I opened up AOO just a few minutes ago and noticed something was missing. So I took a screenshot. I am using AOO 4.1.15 on Linux Mint 21.3 with Cinnamon 6.0.4. Does anyone else have the text for Text Documents cut off?

This is to do with the scaling factor set in /Tools /Options /OpenOffice : View. If you set that to 130%, you get the cutoff, but that doesn't affect the link working. Reduce the scaling factor if you wish.

Personally, with high res screens, I would wish that the scaling factor was further adjustable to cope with those.

Ah! Yes, I had it set at 120%. So I reset it at 110% and its fine now. Thanks Rory.

I run mine at 130%: I know what the text should be, so don't care that it is truncated.
