				[Solved] Install MS TrueType fonts

Now that I have successfully migrated my Ubuntu computers to Apache OpenOffice I find I lost fonts I used for the majority of my work. It appears I can add the MS TrueType fonts but I may be required to accept the MS EULA. If anyone has authoritative information of sound references for this I would appreciate it if you could provide me with these references. Obtaining instruction from within this community is likely to be best.

Why you did it? The Apache OpenOffice is a dead project.

The core package of the older MS fonts may be installed on Ubuntu (and other linux versions with appropriate installation changes as required by the distro) by
sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
or by using Synaptic package installer.
I know that one has to accept a licence agreement. If one install method doesn't work, use the other.
Do this with OpenOffice closed, as OO only finds fonts when it starts up (ditto for printers - turn on before starting OO).
Reason to use OO instead of LO? OO appearance is less obtrusive with /View /Non printing characters enabled, and menus are static. Also, for my work, no need for many of the extra "bells and whistles" of LO.
Note: if there are two install methods tried simultaneously, they halt each other. Shut down one _before_ trying another.

Sadly, not much dev manpower on AOO since several years now.
For the EULA, see for example:
Am I allowed to use Microsoft's TrueType core fonts outside my computer?
