[Dropped] Pause slideshow on a particular slide

Have created an OpenOffice Impress slideshow on a MacBook Air. Slides transition every 3 seconds. Is there ANY way to pause on a particular slide in the event someone has a question and then proceeding from there once the question has been answered? Believe me I have done web searches, tried every key on the keyboard, etc, etc, etc trying to figure this out without the necessity to bother anyone with what seems like a mundane question. Thank You for any responses you may have.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I would say that automatic slide show is for looping presentations or those that don't need to be interrupted.
Too much pain to manually go through the slides instead to keep full control?

A search of the Impress forum for pause immediately found [Solved] Remote presentation control. I have no personal exerience with this type of controller.

Since you have a Macbook, if you are unable to find a solution for Impress you could consider using Keynote for your presentation. It is either already installed on your machine or can be installed for free from the App Store. Perhaps you can use a remote presentation control with Keynote. Direct questions about Keynote to an Apple forum. This one is for Impress.
Mac FAQ Q59/A59: Can I exchange documents between OpenOffice and iWork, Apple's office suite?

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
