Video in presentation not played on other machines

I added a video to a slide and it works when I play the presentation. But when I send it to other people, the videos do not work. How do I fix this please?

Indeed, have you embedded the video in the presentation?
Else, send a folder containing the presentation and the video. The link to the video should be e relative one so that on the other machine the presentation can retrieve it.
To check if the video has been embedded, check the file size of the video and the presentation. The latter should not be lighter than the former.

I don't know how to embed. I see where I can add a video, but I don't think it's embedding it and I can't find anything online that tells me how.

There should be something like Insert > Audio or Video (my LibreOffice menu) and in the dialog, make sure the “Link” option is unchecked before importing.

There is no insert, video or audio. Just insert, movie & sound. It allows me to add a video, but it's not embedded. There is no link option.

There is indeed no option to insert video or audio as a link in AOO 4.1.15.
