AOO "not compatible" with Windows 11: won't execute

I downloaded the oo 4.1.15 to my windows 11 os. I tried to execute the download and got an error message that oo isn't compatible with my computer. I ran compatibility checker and it says my computer meets hardware components only under cpu (first option on the list). Is there any way to fix this? I'd appreciate any help that is offered.

Many people have posted questions here and reported that they are using Windows 11. For example,
this user. So, OpenOffice does work with Windows 11. Please quote the exact message you are getting and any other information about what is incompatible.

Else, try LibreOffice, it is more actively developed and may better integrate with new versions:

Do I remember correctly that there is a restricted version of Windows 11 that only permits MS sourced applications?
As I use linux exclusively, I have no current Windows knowledge, only a memory of having read something to the above effect.

Yes, this is so for Windows 10 and Windows 11 and is called Windows S Mode:
Windows 10 and Windows 11 in S mode FAQ. If users so desire they can switch out of S Mode, details in the linked to page.
There is also a 'Windows Education edition' of Windows which too is tied down in some ways, some detail here:
Windows 11 for Education. By my reading it looks like this wouldn't be available on the standard 'consumer market', education institutions only.

I just did some other research on this. Seems that Windows S Mode only allows apps from Microsoft Store to be installed to Windows S Mode.
I had a look in the Microsoft Store and OpenOffice and LibreOffice can be downloaded from there. So if tarjebie is on Windows S Mode, doesn't want to switch out of S Mode, and wants to install OpenOffice or LibreOffice then he could try downloading from Microsoft Store and see if he has better luck with that. I have no idea if the implementations of OpenOffice/LibreOffice are 'tagged' in such a way that it lets Windows S know that they have been downloaded from Microsoft Store. (I assume they must be tagged in some way.)
