When I hit copy/paste special/link on a spreadsheet (both cells on same spreadsheet) it is rarely working. I go to the first cell and hit copy, then to the retreiving cell and hit paste special and choose link from the options but the retreiving cell stays empty. I will be most grateful for any help.

Ensure in the Paste Spacial dialog for Selection that Text, Numbers, Date/time, and Formulas are selected.

If you need any additional assistance attach a spreadsheet demonstrating the difficulty (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the spreadsheet itself). I will not help further unless you attach a spreadsheet document. Indicate which cell in which sheet you copied prior to using Paste Special.

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ✏️ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
