[Solved] Autofilter headers disappear

Post by Pinkmen »

I have a data sheet right. I learned to use the data tab at the very top and auto filter the data so i can sort through the corresponding headers.

for example, it looks something like this.

Date | Amount | Category | Note |

When ever I would click the arrow next to each header and add a condition or whatever its called, it would work just fine, and sort through the data that only has that condition.

Now it does the same thing, BUT the headers disappear. Meaning I can't sort through the data with two conditions because as soon as I click one, the headers disappear.

how do I fix this?

Edit: Changed subject, was Data autofilter functioning weird..

This probably means that the Autofilter is not treating the first row as headers but is including that row in the filtered rows. When you first apply the filter, do you get a question about using the first row as headers?

Alright for anyone else with the same problem here is how to fix it!

First highlight your headers, or whatever data you want to give a name to. Then you click Data on the very top of the screen. Then you define it! With my problem I had to define as Headers.

Anyways this solved my issue!
