Solved - problem is resolved, thank you!

Hi, this is my first post to this forum and I cannot find a way to upload or paste a screenshot. Maybe someone can give me hint on that. I just need to know how to remove the frame from images inserted in Open Office. I've tried Tools-Options-Appearance uncheck Object Boundaries, which doesn't work. How to remove these default image frames? Any help much appreciated. Have a good day,
Sylvia

Welcome to the forum.

To post an attachment or a screenshot do the following:
  1. Look at the text-box (aka message-box) into which you would normally enter your 'Reply' text.
  2. Below the text-box you will see a button titled Full Editor & Preview. Click on that button.
  3. A new text-box will appear with a lot of useful buttons on top for replies. There is a button there for adding a URL to your reply, should you need to do so. Hover over the buttons to see what functionality they provide.
  4. Look below that text-box and you will see two tabs: Options and Attachments. Click on the Attachments tab.
  5. Now you can add your attachment to your reply. Maximum file size 128 KiB per attachment.
  6. If your attachment is too large then use a file sharing site like MediaFire or similar. Upload your file to the sharing site then make a link in your reply to the file on the sharing site.
P.S. Do not include sensitive or highly personal information in your attachment.

Note that there always is a thin gray border but it isn't print at all. You can check that in the print preview or by exporting to PDF first.
Else, you may have a frame in which your picture is embedded. In that case, either keep the frame and set its border to none or remove it.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the 🖉 button if your issue has been fixed.

Fabulous, thanks so much for your replies. Since the frame doesn't print it's no longer a problem, just looks ugly in draft. I guess it indicates the amount of white space around a pic, which actually ends up being useful in layout. Have a great day!
