[Dropped] ODS file not found

I have used a spreadsheet for several years now in the .odt format but today it comes up as an '.ods file not found' (it was there as an .odt file jest three days ago!) - can anyone suggest how I might be able to find the original file please?

Edit: Changed subject, was Change .ods to .odt format
The problem is that the file isn't found. When you find it, changing it from ODS to ODT would break it.

Your question is confusing. A spreadsheet can't be in odt format. I'll assume it was in ods format and now you can't find it. What are you doing that leads to the "not found" message? Can you navigate to the folder it was stored in and look for yourself? Was the file stored on your local computer or was it on a remote location?

If you can’t find a file on Mac
Q23/A23: How do I backup OpenOffice files on my Mac?
Q24/A24: How do I restore OpenOffice files from backups?

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

.ods : Open Document Spreadsheet (for Calc)
.odt : Open Document Text (for Writer)
