Hi-

I just made a thread to ask if someone can fix the GPG key so i can get the right one.
I forgot to add that my smart screen went nuts and blocked this thing from being downloaded.

Please fix the key and smart screen indicated it had no idea where this software was coming from.

thanks,
jim

Your subject title is "open office antivirus went crazy". But OpenOffice doesn't have antivirus, and you don't mention antivirus in your post. Please explain what the antivirus has to do with it. Please reproduce error messages as accurately as possible. That will help us figuring out how we can help you.

On the 'Invalid Key' issue:

Sounds like you are new to OpenOffice. Instead of using the pgp key try using the OpenOffice sha512 hash key – it's a bit easier to use than going down the pgp route. If you don't already have the software to check a sha512 hash then get the MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility free version (you don't need the Pro version) from here.

This said you would be well advised to forget about OpenOffice and use LibreOffice instead. There are several good reasons for this, some of which are mentioned here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information

To get a SHA hash for LibreOffice just click on the Info link below the LibreOffice Download button.

Topic title changed and moved to the Troubleshooting section since it is about the verification of the installer.
Since there is a mail, I would have tried first to contact him.

I have no problems downloading/verifying the 4.1.15 release on Windows 11.
The en-US version is secure as shown here.

You can get Apache OpenOffice for selected languages also in the Microsoft Store.
See the 4.1.15 Release Notes.

If your problem persists, please send an email to development mailing list
